Gain hands-on practice with the multiplication and factoring of monomials, binomials, and trinomials using algebra tiles and the Visual Area Modeler (sold separately). These 50 double-sided cards feature 25 multiplication and 25 factoring problems, each accompanied by an illustrated solution on the reverse. Students will view the problem on the front, solve using algebra tiles and the Visual Area Modeler, then flip the card over to self-check their answers against the model.
The task cards can easily be integrated into classroom lessons through teacher-led instruction, one-on-one tutoring, independent learning, small group centers, and more. They are applicable for all students of Algebra that need a hands on approach to multiplying and factoring polynomials.
The tasks on these cards require the use of the following Combination Set of Alegbra Tiles: unit(1), x, x², y, y², and xy, plus EAI Education's Visual Area Modeler for easier organization and visualization of the tiles needed to solve each card.
Cards measure a generous 8" x 8" to allow answers to be more easily seen.
